VIEW AFT: Tony Curtis: Wannabe Treklander?

View Aft is for the bits of interest you might have missed on their first fly-by. Or that I did.

Few things have stopped me in my tracks Hollywood-wise (now THERE'S an oxymoron hyphenate) than the blip that turned up recently...

Out of all the icons of Hollywood living or dead, who would have guessed: Tony Curtis says his biggest regret is never playing in a Star Trek! From a non-leading question:

"What was the show that was so famous on television? The space show. Star Trek! Would I have loved to sign up for Star Trek. After 20 years everything fades away except for Star Trek.”

No further details from this Q&A during a TCM Filmfest appearance for a screening of his The Smell of Sweet Success... but it goes to show that the celebrity Trekker list is hardly fully known or comprehended.

It's a big galaxy of those stars too, Mr. Scott.

Hi- Saw this on FaceBook too! I haven't seen Tony in YEARS-- Maybe he should call JJ?

Ha! That's pretty damn cool--he would have been a lot of fun on Star Trek.
