Back on startrek.com: The forgotten anniversary—1986

Better late than never—or are we really in lineal time for this one?

I had the slot for startrek.com's guest post LAST week, but I was busy in Seattle. So... for all us slackers... here's the news flash:

"Trekland: Supplemental" #5 took on the idea of our love affair with Trek anniversaries—here now, with the 45th birthday [of the 1966 debut] already rollin' around again.

My larger point, though, was that one of the biggest other anniversaries largely goes not only unmarked, but underappreciated: the chain reaction that is 1986. And no, not for the obvious reason... I mean for the reason that it gave us both the franchise and the fandom that we have today. Take a look...
